WILMA ALENE JONES
Wilma Alene Jones, 83, of Parker, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014. She was born June 9, 1930 in Cottondale, Florida to C. C. & Irene Gilbert. She was a lifelong resident of Parker. She was a retired bookkeeper for Tyndall Air Force, Base Exchange. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Jones; her parents; one sister, Alma Proper; and one brother, Marlon Gilbert. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Gilbert (Jackie); two sisters, Monette Steward, Joyce Steward (Clarence); and eight nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Craig Walker officiating. Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Bay Medical Center and the Covenant Hospice Care Center.
