William Edward Trainer was born in Scio, NY on October 21, 1930 and passed away November 23, 2008 in Panama City, FL.
Bill served in the U.S. Army from March 1951 through March 1954. During that time he saw combat in Korea earning him the Korean Service Medal, two Bronze Stars: National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, plus a Good Conduct Medal. Upon return from Korea, Bill was assigned to the Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, prison as a prison guard.
After leaving the service, Bill! returned to New Jersey and then retired in Panama City Beach, FI.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Linda Lewis of Calabasas, CA; daughter, Susan Harrington of Athens, AI; step-daughter, Christine Houhoulis of Punta Gorda, FI; grandchildren Amy, Bobby, Michael, and Nicholas; and great-granddaughter Ariana. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Sellers, of San Diego, CA.
Bill will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, New Jersey, on Friday, November 28, 2008 next to his pre-deceased wife, Rose, and granddaughter, Renee.
