Obituary

William "Bill" James Parish Jr., 87, of Panama City Beach, FL passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 in his home. He was born on April 11, 1933 in Youngstown, Ohio to William James Parish Sr and Marion Bowers Parish. He graduated from the University of Pittsburg with a degree in Civil Engineering. Bill was the former owner of the Holiday Lodge Hotel and Bridgetender Restaurant. He served in the Highway Patrol Auxiliary for 25 years and served as the President for the Quiet Birdsman "QB's" for over 20 years. He was also a member of the Defenders Motorcycle Association. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lucille MacBeth (Luke) and one grandson, Connor Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Parker Parish; three sons, Charles Jeff Parish, William James "Jim" Parish III (Kelly), Michael Jay Parish (Angie); six grandchildren, C.J. Parish, Brittany Parish, Sabrina Evers (Darren), Blake Parish, Devon Withers Mumford (Brandon), Kristina Withers; six great grandchildren, Sidney Eichinbalm, Gavin Evers, Jordyn Newsome, Kalley Newsome, Harper Mumford, Livia Mumford; two nieces, Lauren MacBeth and Robin MacBeth. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 2 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Covenant Hospice, 107 W. 19 th Street, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Bill Parish.
