WILLIAM (BILL) EDWARD MURPHY

William (Bill) Edward Murphy, 56, died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Bay Medical Center. He was born November 8, 1950 in Panama City.

Bill was in the first class of the Mary Mackin School which was started in 1956 and later became the St. Andrew Bay Center. He continued there until 2002.

He was preceded in death by his father, Malachi Hillery Murphy, Jr., and his brothers, Benjamin (Ben) Stephens Murphy and Malachi Hillery Murphy, III.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Ellen Murphy, of Panama City; his brother, John V. Murphy, Sr. and wife Gayle, of Port St. Joe; two sisters, Ellen Murphy Williford and husband Bobby, of Salem, SC, Mary Murphy Sadler and husband Hazen, of Port St. Joe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Wilson Funeral Home in Panama City from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. CDT. A service for Bill will follow at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home. Private interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
