William C. Cox, 83, passed peacefully by his son's side on October 31, 2022 after a brief illness.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Sylvia Harris Cox.  He is survived by a brother, Robert Cox, a sister, Suzanne Cox Pritchett, and children Clay Cox, Sheila Barnes, Angie Hutt and Billy Cox.  William served in the Alabama National Guard and performed contract work for Tyndall Air Force Base.  He later became an entrepreneur, owning an auto dealership and a service station.

His family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses at Emerald Coast Hospice for the care they provided and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Emerald Coast Hospice or the charity of your choice.  No services are planned at this time.
