Long-time resident of Montgomery and Pine Level, AL and recent resident of Panama City Beach, FL moved toward his next adventure on August 19, 2022.
Mr. Bond was born into the arms of a large and loving family as the 10 th child to William Thomas Bond and Willie Mae (Simmons) Bond, of Garland, AL on September 28, 1938. Sibling survivors include 2 sisters, Louise (Lucy) Johnson and Joyce (Jo) Sullivan both of Winter Haven, FL.
Thurston was preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life, Sue Ann Bond. He will be forever missed by his daughter, Anita Loftin Scott of Panama City Beach, FL; and his 2 sons, Frank Daniel Loftin (Jo Ann) of Navarre, FL, and Michael Ray Bond of Clanton, AL.
Mr. Bond leaves behind 8 cherished grandchildren: Daniel Loftin, Sarah Scott, Holly Scott Mann (Michael), C. Patrick Scott (Suzanna), Alisha Bond, BJ Bond (Mandy), Heather Loftin, and Dakota Bond; and 6 great-grandchildren: Elizabeth (Lizzie) Scott, Makinlee Lowery, Aubree Lowery, Erin Mann, Colton Bond, and Ella Rose Bond. He is also survived by amazing, supportive, and loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mr. Bond was a US Army Veteran (249 th ENG BN), a life-time member of the Brotherhood of Freemasons, and a true Alabama Roll Tide fan. He worked for Western Electric, South Central Bell and AT&T throughout his career as an installer. He was affectionately known as "Willie T", "T", "Pop", and "Grandpa".
Please join us as we remember the life of William Thurston Bond in a graveside service with military honors held in Greenwood Cemetery, Montgomery, Alabama on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2 p.m.
