WILLIAM DUSTIN BIRD
William Dustin Bird, age 35, died Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at Bay Medical Center surrounded by his loving family and friends. William was born in Sherman, Texas on November 21, 1970. He has lived in Panama City since he was 6 months old. William graduated from Gulf Coast Community College in 1988 and attended North Texas Community College in Sherman, Texas. He worked for Winn Dixie for 7 years. William was an avid Braves fan, an accomplished chef, and loved traveling all over the world. William had a great sense of humor and a ready smile for everyone. The last few years of his life were difficult and tragic. William was a type 1 Diabetic. For some, the adjustment may not be difficult, but for William it was debilitating. We his family, love him and will miss him. It is our hope he has found peace. He is survived by his mother, Carole C. Bird, brother, John Rex Bird, Jr., sister-in-law, Valerie Norris Bird, nephew, John Rex Bird III, niece, Brittany Tiller, and a large family of cousins, aunts and uncles. William was preceded in death by his father, Col. John Rex Bird, and grandmother, Bernice Power Breazeale. William will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be at a later date in Apalachicola, FL.
