WILLIAM C. "BILL" McKEITHEN

William C. "Bill" McKeithen 71, of Panama City, FL passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Bay Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born in Panama City, FL on December 24, 1938. He graduated from Bay High School in 1957 and then attended Auburn University. He worked for many years at International Paper Company in a variety of roles. He was a former member of the Elks Club and Panama Country Club. He loved fishing, playing golf and his Auburn Tigers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. Alton G. and Corene Moore McKeithen, his brother, Mac McKeithen, sister, Joan McCroan and grandson, William Philip Griffitts.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Beth Byrd McKeithen; three daughters, Lisa Vogler and husband Ralph, of Lynn Haven, FL, Libba Hanna and husband Marc of Colleyville, TX, Laura Griffitts and husband Griff, of Panama City Beach, FL; grandchildren, Natalie, Michael, Kathleen, and Emily Vogler of Lynn Haven, FL, Reagan and Rylee Hanna of Colleyville, TX, Katie and Anna Claire Griffitts of Panama City Beach, FL; great-granddaughter, Carleigh Vogler of Lynn Haven, FL and a very loving extended family.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 10 at 10:30 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 9 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the Boys and Girls Club, 451 Magnolia Ave, Panama City, FL 32401.
