Obituary

William Edward (Bill) Masker, Jr., age 74, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, March 28th, 2022 in his home. He was predeceased by his parents William E. and Miriam Prows Masker. He was born in Panama City FL, and grew up in Chipley, FL where he attended Chipley High, Chipola Jr. college and graduated from Univ. of West Florida. He enjoyed singing in the choir at Forest Park United Methodist Church for over 20 years. He, wife Hillary and sister Phoebe operated the Harbour House restaurant for 18 years, and along with sister Alice, owned the Beach House Restaurant on Thomas Dr. He went on to become a real estate broker with Century 21 Akins and later with ERA Neubauer for many years. He owned his own brokerage, Bay Real Estate Incorporated. He was also a licensed community association manager and most recently was employed with Emerald View Association Management. He retired from that profession in early 2021. He was a long-term member of the Downtown Rotary Club where he achieved perfect attendance. He also enjoyed reading and spending time in nature. Spring was always his favorite season. He was early-on a computer expert and his adult children even relied on him for help. The family purchased a Disney Vacation Club timeshare almost as soon as the Club began and he enjoyed many a trip there.

He is survived by his wife Hillary, sons William Edward Masker III, David Russell Masker, John Wesley Masker, and daughter Amy Elizabeth Masker. He is also survived by 6 siblings and their families-Phoebe Masker, Nancy Masker Toole (Pat), Janet Masker Nuckols (Lew), Alice Masker, Jonathan Masker (Linda) and Ralph Masker (Diana), and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a family man and loved his children beyond measure. We will sorely miss his great wisdom and kindness, but most of all his fantastic sense of humor and the constant laughing we experienced being around him.

A private family graveside service will be held Friday, April 1st 2022 with Dr. John Friedman officiating. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, April 3rd, 2022 at 4pm at Alice's on Bayview in St. Andrews. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the building fund at Forest Park United Methodist Church.
