WILLIAM HENRY BERDON, III.

William Henry Berdon, III, 73, of Panama City, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011. He was born December 31, 1937 in Natchez, Mississippi. He was a retired technical director for Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry & Rubye Berdon; daughter-in-law, Robin Berdon and close cousin, Bert Gray. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Betty Eidt Berdon; three children, Leigh Berdon, of Panama City, Bill Berdon, of Martinez, GA, Martin Berdon and wife, Deneen, of Baton Rouge, LA; four grandchildren, Sarah Berdon, Elizabeth Berdon, Amanda Berdon, Matthew Berdon and brother, Lawrence Berdon and wife, Jamie, of Baton Rouge, LA. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 – 7 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday in Natchez City Cemetery, Natchez, Mississippi. The family will receive friends at Laird Funeral Home, Natchez, Mississippi on Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 4001 W. 23rd Street, Suite C, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of William Berdon.
