Wattie M. Crowder, 83, of Panama City, FL passed away March 26, 2020, surrounded by family, to join her late husband, TSgt Charles F. Crowder.
She was born April 07, 1936, in Eatonton, GA, youngest daughter of Sidney and Pearl Griffin; she had four sisters, Frances Turk, Ann Young, Pearl Lamprose, Mary Hancock, and one brother, William "Bill" Griffin, all proceeded her in death, along with her firstborn grandchild Travis Crowder.
Wattie Crowder is survived by her children and grandchildren as follows: firstborn child Nancy Benton of Panama City, FL; second-born child Charles W. Crowder (wife Karen) of Swainsboro, Ga; third-born child Rebecca Crowder of Panama City, FL, Grandchild Amanda "AJ" Crowder of Panama City, FL, and Keegan Crowder of Swainsboro, GA, Great-grandchild, David Crowder, and his children Lumen and Danny Crowder of Pleasant Grove, AL, along with many nieces and nephews.
Wattie Crowder retired in 2009 from 20 years as the Women Center Unit Secretary at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City, FL; she had transferred from Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.
She was a kindhearted true southern peach of a lady that loved to put a smile on people's faces by making them laugh. She was proud to graduate and be an alumnus of Crestview High School class of 1955, then continued her education. Education was very important to her.
She enjoyed bowling; thus, winning many bowling trophies. She had many adventures and travels; in which her favorite place to travel to was Walt Disney World from 1974 with numerous visits through 2019, this was her happy place.
