Obituary

Walter David “Chip” Rogers, 67, of Panama City, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026 in his home. He was born December 7, 1958 in Panama City. He was a 1976 graduate of Bay High School and was a part of the school’s State Champion Football team. Chip was an avid lifetime Alabama Crimson Tide football fan. He was a longtime member of the St. Andrew United Methodist Church. He worked as a pipe loader at Berg Pipe Company. Chip was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph “Joe” & Betty Rogers. He is survived by two sons, Josh Rogers, Joseph Rogers; 3 grandchildren, Kaden Rogers, Karder Rogers, Maisie Jade Rogers; brother, Joseph “Joey” Rogers (Carol); sister, Sheila Pridgeon, nephew, Michael D’Aoust (Mary); and three nieces, Julie Clampitt (David), Kate Rogers and Elizabeth Rogers. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Panama City Rescue Mission in memory of Chip Rogers.
