Walter C. Jencks, 75, of Panama City Beach, FL passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019. He was born on January 28, 1944 in Panama City, FL. He was a retired salesman for Diebold Banking Equipment. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.C. and Willa Mae Jencks; one brother, Michael Jencks. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Susan Jencks; two children, Stephen Jencks (Bridgette), Heather Smith (Daniel); six granddaughters, Alaina Jencks, Ansley Jencks, Ava Jencks, Serenity Jencks, Harper Smith, Journey Smith; one brother, Larry Jencks (Patty).

Walter truly had a passion for turkey hunting and being in the woods. He also enjoyed golfing and attending Gulf Coast basketball games where he once played as a student. Walter always looked forward to Friday lunches with his close friends as well as his time spent with the "Green Mansion" club, which consists of former Gulf Coast athletes. He had 6 granddaughters who always made him smile and was willing to do whatever they asked of him. Walter was a devoted husband, father, poppy, brother and friend. He'd also want you to know one more thing, Roll Tide!

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Woodlawn United Methodist Church.
