Walter Lee Hunt, 69, of Compass Lake, Florida, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 in his home. He was born July 24, 1945 in Brooksville, Florida and had been a resident of the Compass Lake area for the past 26 years. He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force, where he was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Desert Storm Conflict. He was also a retired Financial Analyst for the Florida Department of Corrections. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lt Col. Seaborn and Lorena Hunt. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Elizabeth Hunt; 4 children, Walter Lee Hunt Jr. (Lisa Sewell Hunt), Dr. Kimberly Diane Hunt, Christopher Charles Hunt, Brian Allen Hunt (Jennifer Lynn Hunt); 2 grandchildren, Brandon Lee Hunt, Lily Elizabeth Hunt; siblings, Dr. Seaborn M. Hunt II (Donna Hunt), Dr. Lorena Estelle Hunt Spencer (Curtis Spencer), Charles Hunt (Susan Hunt) and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. in the St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery with military honors conducted at the cemetery.
