Walter Eugene "Gene" Jensen, 69, of Lynn Haven, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022.  He was born November 10, 1952 in Panama City.  He served in the United States Air Force retiring at the rank of Technical Sergeant.  After retiring from the Air Force, he worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Technician with the State of Florida.  He was a member of the Hiland Park Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Algot Graham & Loah Maxine Jensen and a brother, Wayne Jensen.  He is survived by his wife, Karen Davis Jensen; three sons, Alfred Jensen (Jessica), Chad Jensen, Keith Jensen; stepson, Brad Newsome (Leah); stepdaughter, Denise Newsome; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Jensen, Brandon Newsome, Anzley Newsome, Amelia Newsome; two brothers, Franklin Jensen (Cheryl), Jack Jensen (Tina) and numerous nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 1 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Fondren officiating. Interment will follow in the Lynn Haven Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Backpack Ministry at Hiland Park Baptist Church in memory of Gene Jensen.
