IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Voncille Adams
Ramirez
June 11, 1925 – February 2, 2021
Voncille Adams Ramirez, 95, of Panama City, FL passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. She was born on June 11th, 1925 along with her twin sister Lucille, in Graceville, Florida. They attended schools in the area including graduating from Graceville High. During this time they lived with their parents and brothers and sister on a farm outside of Graceville until her departure to Panama City with her sister Lucille in late 1942. They worked at various jobs including the Wainwight Shipyard. Voncille met Joe Ramirez at the shipyard and they were married on July 6th, 1943, before Joe left for the war. After Joe returned from the war in 1945 they moved to Mobile, Alabama and lived there until 1948 when they moved back to Panama City, with their son Richard. Dennis was later born in 1948. They built a house in 1950 at 339 S. Bonita Ave, next door to her sister, Lucille, who had married Ralph Sorrentino. David was born in 1952 and Anita in 1962. During the time in Panama City, Voncille worked various secretarial jobs until working for the City of Panama City from 1956 until retirement in 1987. During the above period Voncille and Joe were members of St. John's Catholic Church and were active in supporting the church, schools, and sporting events of the children. Voncille was also a member of the Panama City Woman's Club and supported and performed in the annual Red Stocking Review charity gala. During retirement Voncille and Joe traveled extensively on cruises and tours with friends in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico until Joe's death. Voncille will be remembered as a loving, supportive, and generous person (and Mother) by her family and friends and will be remembered as such forever. God bless her and receive her. Your faithful servant has arrived.
