VIVIAN MYERS MOORE

Vivian Myers Moore, 94, of Panama City, Florida, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at 5:18 p.m. She was born on January 1, 1914, in Wausau, Florida, to Mr. and Mrs. George Matthew Myers. After graduating from Washington County High School in 1931, she completed Mrs. Murrow's Business School in Panama City and began work at the W.P.A. office in 1937. She was personal secretary for 30 years to C. C. Moore Construction Company, Inc.

Vivian was a vibrant, ever-cheerful gracious lady, not only known for her wit and humor, but also for her active service in our community. In 1981, at the age of 67, she embarked on a new musical challenge, the study of the harp, traveling to Florida State University once a week for a two-hour harp lesson. For the past twenty years, she played the harp at the annual Panama City Beach Holly Fair.

Vivian was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City, serving as Harpist in the church orchestra. For many years, she taught a weekly Adult Ladies Bible Class attended by many in the community. C. C. Moore Chapel was a memorial gift from Vivian to the First Baptist Church.
