VIRGINIA BREWER CASEY
Virginia Brewer Casey, 72, of Panama City, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Community Health Care. She was born February 8, 1937 in Perryville, Missouri. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and was a member of the Rose Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her father, Ben Brewer, mother, Stella Brewer and daughter, Mary Louise Casey. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Frederick Lee Casey, one son, Joseph Lee Casey (Julie), one daughter, Ericka Casey Soto (Oscar), two brothers, Joe Brewer (Audrey) of St. Louis, MO, and Raymond Brewer (Janet) of Atlanta, GA, four grandchildren, Shelby Casey, Garrett Casey, Brooke Soto, and Brandon Soto. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 22, from 9 – 10 a.m. with funeral services following at 10:00 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Slocomb, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1200, Panama City, FL 32402 in memory of Virginia Casey.
