Violet "Vi" Flanders Brannon, 93, of Panama City, FL passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023. She was born on August 12, 1929 in Calhoun County, FL to R.L. and Etta Belle Herndon Flanders. She had been a resident of Panama City since she was 12 years old, moving here from Blountstown, Florida. She worked as a Deputy Property Appraiser for the Property Appraisers Office. Vi was a member of the Gulfview United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Pascal "Pete" Brannon Jr.;  her parents; her brothers, J.R. Flanders and Ernest Flanders; and a very special sister-in-law, Myrtle "Sis" Brannon Lewis. She is survived by her son, Wesley Brannon (Diane); daughter, Karen Ramsey; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren;  and loving nephews and nieces, Tom Flanders (Lou), Mertice Flanders, Sherry Olson (Ronnie) and Olivia Martin (Tom). Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Woodrow officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
