Vartanoush Atenian, 71, of Panama City, passed away on January, 26, 2024.   To those who loved her, her nickname was "Varty". She was the youngest member of her immediate family and the last one to pass away. She was a very hard-working and strong woman. She was born in Romania to Armenian parents and immigrated to the United States in the 1970s. Varty and some of her family worked professionally restoring oriental rugs, and doing needlepoint pieces while living in New York. She loved music, traveling, going to casinos, and she was gifted with her creative hands. Varty enjoyed cooking and baking and entertaining family and friends.

Varty took care of her parents, her husband Allen Baban Atenian, her sister Gina and her brother Hagop John Atenian before they passed away. She is survived by her niece and Goddaughter Deana V. Atenian.

Also her sister in law Astrid Bogosian of Panama City. Her very loyal friends Jonathan and Shawn Carr of Panama City. Varty will be missed by many of her long time Romanian friends, both in Romania and Las Vegas.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Jack Hankins officiating.
