TOMMIE E. THOMAS
Tommie E. Thomas, 79, of Lynn Haven, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012. He was born April 17, 1933 in Ellard, Mississippi. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service at the rank of Chief Petty Officer. After retiring from the Navy, he taught Air Conditioning and Refrigeration at Haney Technical School. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Nelson Thomas and one step daughter, Helen Adams. He is survived by his two step daughters, Linda Hill, Charlotte Philips (Russell) all of Lynn Haven; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; two sisters, Tene Hallman, Daree Williams and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 2:30 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
