Tom Overby, 63, of Panama City, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 in a local hospital.  He was born October 9, 1956 in Nashville, Tennessee.  He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years retiring at the rank of Technical Sergeant.  After retiring from the Air Force, he worked as a service writer and manager at Alford Tires.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Melvin and Wadene Caughran Overby Sr.  and a sister, Beverly McBride.  He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Overby; two children, Melissa Overby (fiancé, Angel Goins); Laurel Simpson (Sean); six grandchildren, Matthew Simpson, Sydney Overby, Blake Overby, Skylar Simpson, Draven Simpson, Mikayla Agbay; brother, Randy Overby and brother-in-law, Freddie McBride.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5 at  5 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.  Those desiring may make memorial donations to the American Heart Association in memory of Tom Overby.
