Thomas Andrew Valentine Sr., 71, of Panama City Beach, passed away on July 8, 2017. He was born in 1945 in Suffolk County, New York, grew up in Ocala, FL, and moved to Panama City Beach in the mid-1960s. He earned the Eagle Scout Award while still in high school. Later he volunteered for service in the U.S. Air Force and served honorably for 4 years, including time at Langley AFB in Virginia and Wheelus AB in Libya. Upon his return to Panama City Beach, he worked with his father at Miracle Strip Amusement Park and Jungle Land. As a certified chef, he worked for several decades in local restaurants and catering businesses, including Hamilton's and Captain Anderson's. He was currently employed as the Director of Purchasing for Aqua Condominium on Panama City Beach. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf and loved watching baseball. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Valentine. He is survived by a son, Thomas A. Valentine Jr. (Kimberly); two stepsons, Kelly Toney (Shelly), Shane Toney (Brittney); grandchildren, Faith, Thomas, Crystal, Gage, and Scarlett; sister, Joy Bell (Eddie); brother, Vincent E. Valentine II; nieces, Dawn Belcastro and Olivia Valentine. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
