Thomas Matthew “Tommy” Dean, 45, of Panama City, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 in his home. He was born July 18, 1980 in Panama City and graduated from Panama City Christian School in 1997. He was a former assistant manager for the Millville Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store. Tommy was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City where he volunteered in the audio/video ministry. He was a member of the Acme Masonic Lodge #222, the Harry Jackson Lodge #314 and the Shaddai Shrine Temple. He was preceded in death by his father, William Austin “Billy” Dean. He is survived by his son, Nathaniel Dean; his mother, Susan Dean; brother, Charles Dean and wife, Vickey; three sisters, Alicia, Elizabeth, Rachel and two nieces, Sereniti and Sophi. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 18th at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall (Former sanctuary located at the corner of 6th St. and Harrison Ave.). The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Music Ministry at First Baptist Church of Panama City.
