THOMAS SIDNEY RODGERS
Thomas Sidney Rodgers, 75, of Springfield, passed away, Friday, May 1, 2009 at a local hospital. He was born November 24, 1933 in Leslie, Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant. After retirement from the Air Force, he joined the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier for 20 years. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Letter Carriers Union. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Maud Rodgers and sister, Mary Betty. He is survived by his wife, Neva Rodgers, three children, Thomas Dale Rodgers and wife Colleen, Kim Rodgers, Jerry Dwight Rodgers and friend Margie Keigans, five grandchildren, Michael Morris, Brad Rodgers and wife Stephanie, Christopher Rodgers, Thomas Joseph Rodgers, Dale Bradley Rodgers and two great granddaughters, Emma Diane Talley and Eva Rodgers. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 – 8 p.m. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 216 College Avenue, Panama City, FL 32401 in memory of Thomas Rodgers.
