THOMAS FRANK LEWICKI

Thomas Frank Lewicki, 79, of Panama City, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. He was born June 30, 1932 in Rome, New York. He graduated from Rome Free Academy and Clarkson College with a degree in electrical engineering. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1953-1955. Mr. Lewicki was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City, where he was a member of the Ed Grant Sunday School Class and served as a Deacon. He was also a Gideon. He is survived by his wife, Betty Walsoe Lewicki of 56 years; his daughter, Peggy and Joey Collingsworth, of Panama City; two sons, Roger and Debby Lewicki of Placentia, California and Paul J. Lewicki of Panama City. He has three grandchildren, Susanna and Jerry Lewicki of California and James Collingsworth of Panama City; he is also survived by his mother, Anna Lewicki; and sister, Millie Buczek both of Rome, NY. He was predeceased by his father, Sylvester Lewicki, his sisters, Mary Zuk and Pauline Stamick and his brother, Paul Lewicki. He retired from the Tyndall Air Force Civil Service as a GS14 and served as the Air Force Expert on Cathodic Protection of Metal. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Those desiring may make contributions to the Gideons, P.O. Box 685 Panama City, FL 32402 in memory of Thomas Frank Lewicki. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church, the Panama City West Camp of the Gideon's International and the Ed Grant Sunday School Class.
