Thomas Jackson Henson Jr., 80, of Panama City, FL passed away on Thursday March 16, 2016. He was born on August 5, 1936 in Demopolis, AL to T.J. and Lola Henson. He was the president of his High School, Captain of the football team and the baseball team. He was a part of the Bass Masters of Panama City. He was the owner and operator of Henson's Delivery service as well as GM appliance. Tom also retired from Railway express. He was an avid fisherman and loved watching football. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Karon Blue Henson; children, Dolly Henson Sands, Robin Henson Sullivan, Karen Odette Henson, Lola Henson, Heather Henson, Rick Fleming; grandchildren, Brooke Cannon, Drew Sands, Cody Long, Roger Zimmerman, Lyndsey Bailey, Cameron Sullivan, Ava Carrano, Hannah Fleming, Ethan Fleming; great grandchildren, Gavin Cannon, Colt Long, Parker Zimmerman, Anniston Kate Long, Finlee Zimmerman, Madilyn Cannon; two sisters, Jean Henson Davis, Joanne Henson Emerson; one aunt, Odette Johnson; cousin, Buddy Wadsworth; and good friends, Mike Pitts, Danny Raines and Roger Rhodes. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home chapel with Ken Taylor officiating. Interment will follow the service in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-7 pm. Active pallbearers will be Dan Sullivan, Cody Long, Cameron Sullivan, Jimmy Sands, Roger Zimmerman and Mike Pitts.
