THELMA SIMS REGISTER
Thelma Sims Register, 97, of Panama City, Florida, died Saturday, August 25, 2007 in her home. She had been a resident of Bay County for 64 years moving here from South Georgia. She was a member of the St. Andrews Baptist Church and the Oakland Terrace Mens Club Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady L. Register. She is survived by her son, Jerry L. Register and wife Faye of Lynn Haven, 2 grandchildren, Grant Register and wife Roxanne of Chipley, Florida, Mark Register of Bainbridge, Georgia and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve Beck officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. Active pallbearers are Mitch Holman, Richard Holley, Nick Chaknis, Fred Hamburg, Leonard Hall, and Math Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Grover Kelley, Raymond Jenings, Dick Destival, Wayne Braxton, Mike McCullough, Martin Earl Garrick, Yates Adams, Ed Sheffield Sr., Jack Kennedy, George Bass, Kevin Collier, Mike Kirby, Alan Comerford and David Riley. The family would like to thank Dr. Rush Akin and weekend caregiver Mary Ann Holsenback for their excellent care.
