Terry A. Nelson "Pop" went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 21, 2022. He was born on December 25, 1958 in Greenville, SC to his parents, Charlie and Peggy Nelson. He married his loving wife, Terri J. Nelson, on December 7, 1979. He was employed at Arizona Chemical Company for 25 years where he made many special friends. His love for the outdoors drove him to make a career change doing what he loved in order to spend more time with his family after becoming a grandfather. This also allowed more time for him to hunt and fish before his diagnosis of Alzheimer's in 2015.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and in-laws, Bruce and Melba Upton. He is survived by his wife, Terri J. Nelson, son, Brent Nelson (Tiffany) and daughter, Brooke Stanford (Taylor). Grandchildren, Trent Nelson, Brayden Nelson, Easton Stanford and Emma Kate Stanford. Brother, Jerry Nelson (Sherry) and nephew, Cody. Sister-in-law, Debbie Dean, niece, Jaclyn Welsh (Sean), nephews, Jarrod Dean and Justin Dean (Tiffany), aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation/Celebration of Life will be held on Monday April 25, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home followed by a private burial at a later date.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Emerald Coast Hospice nurses and staff. A special thank you to his nurse, Andrea Creamer and Aide Rebecca Chavis. Also, a special thank you to his special caregiver, Deedee Wright, for her love and dedication to him.
