On July 7, 2020, Dr. Stephen John Toner, 79,  passed away. He was born in September 1940 in Indianapolis and grew up in Birmingham. He married Renee in August 1962. They had two children, Christiana and Michael. After graduating from the University of Alabama Medical School in 1966 and completing his residency, Steve served two years at Eglin Hospital in the Air Force from 1971 to 1973. He then then began his Ear, Nose and Throat practice in Panama City, which he continued until his death. He was active in the early days of Kaleidoscope Theater, where he appeared in a play as Faustos. Steve always enjoyed outdoor activities. He is survived by his wife, children, three grandchildren, and his sisters Catherine and Anne. Preceding him in death were his mother, Rosemary, his father Samuel, and brother Patrick. He has many cousins, nephews and nieces in Birmingham.
