Simon Jack Davis, 80, of Panama City, FL passed away on Saturday February 18, 2017 at his home. He was born on January 4, 1937 in New Harmony, FL to Simon Edward Davis and Pearl Purvis Davis. Jack grew up in Mossy Head, FL and graduated high school in Defuniak Springs, FL. He served in the United States Air Force for four years. He worked at Gulf Power for over 35 years retiring as a Superintendent. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl McCart Davis; son, Troy E. Davis; four sisters, Barbara Ann Wiezychi, Elvadee Everidge, Evie Price, Myrtle Young; and one brother, Joe Davis. He is survived by his step-son, Todd Davis (Suzanne); two grandchildren, Dawson Davis, Brooke Conley (Brett); four great grandchildren, Rylee Ann Davis, C.J. Conley, Lilly Conley, Sadie Conley; one sister, Billie Fay Whiddon; brother of the heart, Kenny Barron; and numerous of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 23, 2017 at 11am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10-11 am prior to the service. Interment will follow at Bayou George Cemetery.
