Dr. Siegfried Edmund Egon Bollheimer
(1929-2010)
Dr. Bollheimer died on January 31, 2010 at his home in Panama City Beach, FL with his wife and daughter by his side.
Dr. Bollheimer was born in Pforzheim, Germany on July 4, 1929. He was the only child of Prof. Edmund Bollheimer and Helene Bollheimer.
Siegfried is survived by his beloved wife, Helga, of Panama City Beach, FL;
Daughter Angela Bollheimer- Davies, son in law Curtis Davies and grandsons Christopher and Erich Davies, all of Shelbyville Indiana, daughter Christine Bollheimer Ben Khouda of Bern Switzerland and granddaughters Laila and Nora Ben Khouda.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dr. Bollheimer graduated with a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Karlruhe University in Germany in 1956, and a Doctorate in high Voltage -Engineering in 1963.
He taught at Karlsruhe University High Voltage Institute and was employed as an executive with Brown Boveri/ ABB for 28 years. His work took him to Switzerland, Saudi Arabia and the United States.
After retiring from ABB in 1987 he traveled the world with his wife Helga. He was an avid diving fan and he and his wife Helga spent a lot of time in the Caribbean as well as the Red Sea exploring the under water world.
Honoring the wishes of the deceased, the remains will be cremated and his urn will be committed to the sea at one of his favorite underwater sites.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shelbyville, Indiana with Father Christopher Craig officiating. A celebration of Life will be held at a later time for family and friends.
