Shirley Ann Wilson Winter passed away at home Friday morning May 13, 2016 in her sleep surrounded by family. She was born in Panama City on Dec. 12, 1933 to the late Wilbur Preston Wilson and Lennie Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Winter Jr., who died in August of 1982.
She was a graduate of Florida State University. She was an elementary school teacher and den mother and later worked for the TDC of Panama City Beach. She was a dedicated member of Heritage Bible Church and loved everyone there dearly. She was a strong supporter of the Panama City Rescue Mission.
She is survived by three loving sons. Clyde Winter III and wife Sara of Spartanburg S.C; Darryl Winter and wife Vivian of Peachtree Corners GA; Eric Winter of Panama City FL, dedicated ex daughter-in-law Joann Hall of Alpharetta GA; her brother Steve Wilson and wife Sandra of Panama City FL; her sister Jennifer Cappleman and husband Bill of Lynn Haven FL; two grandchildren. Kristen Winter Rhodes and husband Dan of Fayetteville NC and Matthew Winter of Columbia SC.
A memorial service will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 21st at 2:00pm with Rev. Henry Hazard officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Panama City Rescue Mission 609 Allen Ave, Panama City, FL 32401 in her memory.
