Our beloved Mother, Shirley Ann Watkins went home to be with Jesus on February 8, 2024.  She was born August 3, 1944 in Bonifay, Florida to David Wilmer Deese Sr. and Bertha Inez Deese.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, James O. Watkins; her parents, her brothers, Loamie Deese, Bobby J. Deese, David "Jr" Deese and a sister, Bertha Nell Reynolds.  Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Trina Dumas (Leve), Teresa Adams (John) and grandchildren, James Dumas, Ashley Oneal (Travis), Brandi Parsons (Cory), Heath Adams (Taylor) Trae Adams; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, Gene Deese (Phyllis), Lavon Deese and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was the matriarch of our family and she will be forever missed by all who loved her.  She was always full of wisdom and motherly love.  Heaven is sweeter today to those of us left behind. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 2 p.m. in the Pine Log Community Church with Rev. Dale Worley officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the Gunlock Cemetery, Pine Log Community.
