Shirley Wise Warren, beloved and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, went home to be with her Lord on August 4, 2007 at the age of 69. Born Shirley Parker in Morrow, Georgia on October 8, 1937, she was a graduate of Sylvan Hills High School and later married James H. Wise. The couple started their family in Atlanta, Georgia before moving and residing in Florida. After the abrupt passing of her first husband, Shirley went on to work for Cubic Corporation at Tyndall Air Force Base for 10 years. She later met and married Harold Warren of Panama City. The couple enjoyed 22 years of marriage together. Their greatest joys were their six children and sixteen grandchildren. Shirley was most remembered for her southern hospitality to all of her family and friends. She delighted in making your visit both special and memorable. Her bravery and courage in the face of chronic illness was a testament to the power of the human spirit. A faithful servant in the Lord, Shirley was a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church and later a founding member of Ebro Baptist Mission Church. We celebrate her victory over her illness as she is now an honored guest at the Lord's table and enjoying the hospitality of her Lord. Shirley is survived by her husband, Harold Warren and her six children and their spouses: Haleigh and Hans Watson, James (Jay) Wise, Terri and Biff Harper, Wendy and David Griffin, Paul and Beth Warren, and John and Karen Warren; seventeen grandchildren: Claire Watson, Scarlett Watson, Charlie Wise, Matthew Wise, James Wise, Caleb Harper, Marisa Harper, Charis Harper, Elias Harper, Josiah Harper, Zachary
Griffin, Anna Griffin, Clayton Warren, Savannah Warren, Sophie Warren, and Sealey Warren. Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Warren will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home in Panama City, Florida. Visitation for friends and family will be held prior to the memorial service from 1-2 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 3 p.m. EST at the family cemetery at Christian City at S.R.138 and Lester Road in Union City, Georgia.
