Shirley Penewitt, 95, of Panama City passed away Tuesday, May 3 ^rd , 2022. Born in January 02, 1927 to Elizabeth Trainor Kilmer and William A. Kilmer in Springfield, IL. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years Penny.

She is survived by son Paul(Teresa) and daughter Cathy. Also 3 grandchildren Steven Penewitt, Julie White(Danny),  and Alan Penewitt and 2 great-grandchildren Lucy White and Atlas White.

Shirley graduated from Stephens College and Iowa State University, majoring in Home Economics and taught school for many years.

She and her family moved to Panama City in 1974 to start a small business (Penrent, Inc). An avid sailor she was active in the St.ABYC ladies aux, a long time member of the Junior League of Panama City also active with the sisterhood of P.E.O. and a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

There will be no public services but please keep her and Penny in your thoughts and prayers (they are together again).
