It is with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Shirley Ann Kyser Folmar on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the age of 95. Shirley lived all of her life in Northwest Florida — Lynn Haven, Shalimar, Vernon, and back to Lynn Haven until 2023 when she moved to Madison, Alabama.

Shirley loved her family and church. Over the years, she was involved with her church in many ways. In the early years, she taught Sunday school and VBS to more recently, serving others. Shirley’s favorite times were spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking.

She was predeceased by the love of her life, Ray Ewell Folmar, Jr., her parents, Perry Evan and Annie Kyser, brother Perry Eugene Kyser (Joan), sisters Ruth Kyser DeSear (Holdman) and Louise Kyser Brightwell (Bill), beloved son-in-law Thomas Haythorn and grandson Benjamin “Drew” Haythorn.

She is survived by her children Shirlana Haythorn Madison, AL, Gary Folmar (Sheree) Vernon, FL, and Dena Lee (Robert) Missouri City, TX. Grandchildren include Steve Folmar (Kathy), Angela Stark (Jason), Jennifer Muscholt (David), Mary Zappe (Richard), Courtney Schumann (Eric) and Ethan Lee (Jessica).
