SHIRLEY ADELINE ASBELL
Shirley Adeline Asbell, 80, of Panama City, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in her home. She was born September 21, 1928 in Ravenna, Nebraska. She was a member of the St. Andrew United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star #223 and was Chaplain and an Officer of the St. Andrew Bay Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Edward Asbell. She is survived by her three sons, Francis E. Asbell, Jr., Ronald Lee Asbell, Robert Charles Asbell and wife Wendy, three grandchildren, Francis E. Asbell, IV., Corrine Helen Asbell, Melissa Jo Timberlake, brother, Darryl Stager and wife Joann and two great grandchildren, Amilie Dragonfly Torres Timberlake and Solana Alisse Torres Timberlake. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shaddai Shrine Temple Transportation Fund, P.O Box 16115, Panama City, FL 32406 in memory of Shirley Asbell.
