SHIRLEE JEAN BULLOCK

Shirlee Jean Bullock of Lynn Haven, Florida, passed away on November 28, 2013.
She was born May 14, 1943 in the family home in Piedmont, Alabama to James Tollie and Annie Mae Bullock.
She has been a resident of Panama City for the last 42 years. She was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church as well as a charter member of The Gulf Coast Women's Club. She was a member of the Women's Club of Panama City in addition to numerous organizations over the years specifically The Junior Women's Club of Panama City, the Yacht Club Auxiliary, Friends of the Library and the Gayfer's Contemporary Board.
Shirlee was an avid gardener with a love of sunsets who enjoyed drinks on the boat an adventure and her beloved Alabama football. Her infectious smile and sparkle in her eye will never be forgotten. She was a loving mother, sister, Aunt and friend to all who knew her and she will be GREATLY missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Willa Jo Estes, Guy (Betty) Bullock, Johnny (Nancy D) Bullock, treasured brother-in-law, Waylon Bowman; special loved ones Elwanda Hughes and Lela H. Smallwood; and her precious little Pinot.
She is survived by her daughter and best friend, Cecilee Smallwood ; siblings, Annette (Don) Gill Hernando, Mississippi, Archie Ray (Martha) Bullock Gadsden, Alabama , Janie (Billy) Daugherty Bay Minette, Alabama, Thomas (Peggy) Bullock Fairhope, Alabama, Sue Bowman Anniston, Alabama; a host of nieces and nephews; her faithful cat Girlee and her grandcats Frangelica and Champagne. Shirlee was blessed with many friends, special "sisters" JoAnne Fortson and Peggy Walker and cherished friend Roberta Monlyn.
Special Thanks to Dr. John Nanfro, Dr. James Tackett and Dr. Alex Jones as well as the nurses in the Intensive Care Unit of Gulf Coast Community Hospital; Thomas, Dusty, Susan, Linda, Sharon and Sarah, additional appreciation to the staff of Tommy Hamm Cancer Center with special thanks to Angie and Tabitha.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday December 4, 2013 at 1 pm at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with Minister Amy Persons-Parks officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 12 – 1 pm. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The Tommy Hamm Cancer Center.
