Sherry Wood, 57, of Port St. Joe, Florida passed away the morning of February 5, 2020 with her husband of 36 years by her side at home. She was born in Dothan, Alabama, and moved to Tampa, Florida in 1970 where she resided until moving to Port St. Joe in 1981. Loved by all, Sherry was an active, caring, loving woman who enjoyed helping everyone in their time of need. She worked as an insurance agent for prominent companies for over 30 years in Port St. Joe. Sherry is survived by her husband, William Jeffery "Jeff" Wood, daughter, Mary-Kate Wood, three brothers, Shelton Snead (Trish) of Brooksville, FL, Danny Snead of Dade City, FL, Darren Snead (Sherry Harvard) of Auburndale, FL; two brothers-in-law, Kristian Richbourg (Natalie), Ryan Wood (Kasi) along with several nieces and nephews and numerous family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Chuck Snead, her mother, Ophelia Snead, father-in-law, Bill Wood and brother-in-law, Greg Wood. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. Eastern in the Oak Grove Church, Port St. Joe, with Rev. Dave Fernandez and Rev. Henry Hester officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12 noon-1:30 p.m. Eastern prior to the service. Graveside services will follow in the Holly Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donation to Faith Christian School, 801 Twentieth St., Port St. Joe, FL 32456 in honor of Sherry Wood.
