SHARON FLORENE BROWN HODGES
1953 – 2010
Sharon Hodges, 57, of Panama City, FL, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, January 20, 2010 with her family by her side. Born in Waycross, Georgia and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, she was a 1971 graduate of Rickards High School. She and Bill later moved to Panama City in 1986. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Bill Hodges; son, Joey Hodges; nephew, Bryan Skipper; sister, Ann Skipper and husband, Johnny Skipper, brothers, Tommy Brown and wife, Leslie Brown, Gary Brown and wife, Joellen Brown; nieces and nephews, Jake, Jessica, Jennifer, Matt and Kevin. Before her illness, Sharon was the office manager of Upton Refrigeration for 20 years. She was a member of the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church. She loved people and was always involved with helping the youth. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 – 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 23 at 10 a.m. at Lynn Haven United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Luther officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church Youth Building Fund, 4501 Transmitter Road, Panama City, FL 32404.
