_{Shane Brister, 52, of Fountain, Florida, died on Sunday, February 21, 2021. He was born on February 22, 1968, in Laguna Beach, California. He served in the United States Navy, managed several successful restaurants, and worked as the on-board biologist on Alaskan crabbing boats in the Bering Sea. After settling down near family in Florida, Shane worked as a biologist and project manager for DeTect, Inc., including working on 12 NASA Space Shuttle launches, projects in the Canadian oil sands, Alaska, and Hawaii, and wind farms across the country.}

_{He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Lee Brister. He is survived by his mother, Melissa Jackson Brister, and three siblings: Heather Brister, Todd Clifford Brister, and Holly Brister. He leaves behind his aunt Noël West, his uncle Tim West, and his cousin Chloë West, as well as his cousins Jacob Jackson, Stuart Jackson, Aaron Jackson, Malia Jackson, Andrew Jackson, Pam Pate Taylor, and Kim Pate Pavelac.}
