Obituary

Sarah Marie Johns, 82, of Panama City, FL passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025. She was born on March 21, 1943 in Panama City, FL. She was a 1961 graduate of Bay High School. Sarah was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City  where she served as a Sunday School and Mission Friends teacher and was a part of the Faith Outreach team. She worked as a Dental Technician alongside her husband at Panama Dental Lab. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and wife. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Essie Burch; one brother, Doug Burch. She is survived by her husband, Rabon Johns; one daughter, Jana Marie Kafka (Tom); one grandson, Jacob "Jake" Johns Kafka; one brother, Charles Burch (Karen); one niece, Kelly Barr (Patrick); four nephews, John Burch (Janelle), Scotty Burch (Carman), Mark Burch (Trina), Chris Burch (Stephanie). Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 11 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10-11 am prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Andrew Barr, Bailey Barr, John Burch, Josh Barber, Bud Brewer and Harold Sanders.Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Coram, Rand Wortman, Vick Davis, William Aggerton, Carlos Atkinson, Wayne Brogdon, Ron Putnam, Jimmy Grant and Matt Sellers. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial donations to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 1200, Panama City, FL 32402 in memory of Sarah Johns.
