Obituary

Sammy (Sam) Moody, 81, was called home to his Lord Monday May 15 th . He was born March 5, 1936 in Holmes County, Florida to Charles Samuel & Annie Mae Moody. Sammy served in the United States Army as a Staff Sargent and Tank Commander. He worked more than 40years in the Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Trade in the Panama City area. He retired as Lieutenant from the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary after 25 years of service. He was an avid member of St. Andrew's Baptist Church for more than 50 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Charlene; one brother, Charles Moody; three sisters, Anne Gray, Lurlene Gavin, and Thelma Paulk. He is survived by one sister, Sybil Parker; three sons, Mark Sr. (Cornelia); Charles "Chuck"; Kevin (Minnie); two grandsons; three granddaughters; one great grandson; five great granddaughters; and one great- great grandson.  Memorial services will be held on Friday at 10 in the St. Andrew Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to St. Andrew Baptist Church in memory of Sam Moody.
