Ruth Mae Shoemaker passed away peacefully on March 20, 2023, at 96 years.  Ruth was born 10 Oct 1926 in Cincinnati, OH, and married her husband Ken in Feb 1947.  Ruth was an Air Force wife, and mother to three children, Gary, Alan, and Linda.  She moved from Cincinnati to Panama City in 1953, with follow-on USAF moves to Guam, Illinois, Cape Cod, Orlando, and finally back to Panama City in 1965.  Ruth worked at Sears for over 2 decades, and was a devoted member of the Grace Presbyterian Church, where she participated in many leadership positions.  She truly enjoyed her Monday morning coffees with dear friends for over 40 years, and always had a smile for everyone she ever met.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Ken, and her son, Alan.  She is survived by her sister, Janet, her children Gary and Linda, and her beloved

grand-daughter Bridget. Ruth truly loved her younger sister, Jan and her three children, Sandy, Rob and Rick. She was so happy to have great/ great-great nieces and nephews in her life. They in turn all adored their sweet "Aunt Ruthie".

Ruth's viewing will be held at 10am on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 1415 Airport Road, PC.  Funeral services will follow at 11a.m.  Burial will follow in the Kent-Forest Lawn Cemetery at 2403 Harrison Avenue.
