RUTH DUNCAN POWERS
Ruth Duncan Powers, age 91, was called home to Glory by her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 7, 2010 in Panama City, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Freddie Lee Powers, her parents, Sam and Barbara Duncan, sister, Mary Margaret Chatham, two younger brothers, Sam and Harry Duncan, one great grandson, Jessie Hopkins and two nephews, Harry Lewis Duncan, John Lee Chatham.
She is survived by six daughters, Joy (Bob) Simonson, Lynn Haven, FL, Alice (Keith) Colvin, Lynn Haven, FL, Mary (Kenneth) Williams, Louisville, AL, Martha (John) Hopkins, Lynn Haven, FL, Virginia (Glenn) Mixon, Panama City, FL, Rebecca (Don) Stegman, Pensacola, FL; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Hazel Duncan and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cory Colravy and Rev. Bob Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 – 8 p.m.
