Ruth Ann Miller Halsey, 78, of Lynn Haven, Florida, passed away on September 15, 2024 in her home surrounded by her loving family.  Ruth was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 15, 1946, to George and Anna Palmesano Miller.  She was a longtime, faithful member of First Baptist Church in Panama City, and enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family.  She is preceded in death by her parents.  Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Willard Louis "Lou" Halsey; her children, Shelley Karlins, Michael Weaver and Larry Weaver (April); her step-children, Will Halsey, Sharon Chestnut (Tom), and Vicki Hughes; her grandchildren, Seth and Ari Karlins, and Dylan (Alexandra), Jake (Hannah), Cody (Riley), Larry and Alex Weaver; great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Benjamin, Kayden, Lorelai, and Quinnlea Anne; siblings, Georgeanne Helms, Ray Miller (Hsiu Chih), Kathy Benton (Jesse), Jimmy Miller (Twila), Pat Fernandez (Harold), Debbie Ashley (Wayne), Terry Warren (Preston), and Lori White; Uncle, Augie Palmesano; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of VITAS Healthcare Hospice, Dr. Andrew Weber and his staff, and Dr. David Hecht and the staff at First Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the First Baptist Church of Panama City, Sanctuary with Dr. Rev. David Hecht officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00-1:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Lynn Haven Cemetery.
