Obituary

Russell Loyd Craft passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017.

Mr. Craft was born in Early County, Georgia, August 27, 1922.  His parents were Edgar and Irene Worthy Craft, who had two other children, a son, Carl Craft, and a daughter, Ruby Craft Gilbert.

Mr. Craft later moved to Panama City, Florida where, in 1944, he married the love of his life, Ina Jarrett Craft, with whom he would walk through the world for 63 years, until her passing February 6, 2007.

A proud American, Mr. Craft served in the US Army during WWII from 1942 to 1946, later re-joining his bride in Panama City and residing there until 2011.  Following his military service, Mr. Craft joined the Panama City Mill of International Paper Company, where he excelled and continued to work until his retirement in August 1979.  The Crafts were members of First Baptist Church of Panama City.

Mr. Craft was preceded in death by his wife, Ina, his son, Thomas, and his son-in-law, Tony Turner.  He is survived by daughters, Patricia Craft Turner of Decatur, GA, and Marie Craft Devey of Plain City, UT.  In addition, he is survived by his grandson, Chris Turner, Chris' wife Sinead Waters Turner, and their children, Maggie, Katie, and Molly, as well as Marie's husband, John Devey.

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 30, 2017, 2:00 pm, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Panama City, Florida.
