Ruby Brookins Ayers Joh, 71, of Panama City, died Sunday, June 24, 2007 in her home. She was born October 22, 1935 in Millville, to Brady & Nellie Whiddon Brookins. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City. She was a loyal fan of Southern Gospel music. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norman W. Ayers, her brother, Donnell Brookins, and a niece, Pam Brookins. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Adam Joh Jr.; brother, James Ray Brookins; 2 sons, Terry Ayers of Panama City, Stephen Ayers and wife Tammy of Chipley, FL; daughter, Lori Ann Ellis and husband, Tim of Lakeland, FL; 7 grandchildren, Justin Ayers and wife, Jessica, Richard W. George, Wendi West, Tiffany Ayers, Brittany Ellis, Shelby Ellis, Ashley Ayers; 4 sisters-in-law, Jackie Brookins, Dorothy Harsher, Nancy Cooke, Norma Brookins Schwader; 3 nephews, Greg Brookins, Gary Brookins, Ken Brookins; niece, Marta Holzapfel; extended family, Raymond Joh III, Allyson Neal, Sue Ellen Joh, Jennifer Jane Joh; special friends, Norma Todd, Jeanette Purvis, Diane Robinson; special cousins, Hazel Littlejohn, Lois France, Frances Markham, Jack Snell and wife Anita. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Panama City with Rev. Ken Brookins and Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in the Millville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
