Roy Dave Wester, 82, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in Panama City, FL. Roy was born August 25, 1941, in Panama City, FL, to Roy and Ruth Foster Wester. After he graduated in 1959 from Bay High School, he joined the Navy, serving as an electrician for 6 years in the South Pacific aboard the USS Washburn. After returning from overseas he worked as an electrician at the papermill in Panama City, until his retirement. Roy enjoyed growing his own fruit and vegetables and was generous in giving vegetables, oranges, grapefruit, pears & blueberries to family & friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles and niece Angela Wester. He is survived by his sister Shannon O. Grice of Panama City, brother Ronald E. Wester and wife Judy, of Taylors, South Carolina, nephew Douglas Grice and wife Lisa, of Altha, niece Gia Barnes and husband David, of Lynn Haven, niece Alison Williams and husband Joseph of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, niece Candus E. Wester of Marietta, South Carolina, dear cousins Sherry Struense and her husband Rich, of Ocala and Ken Wilson and his wife Judy, of Newnan, GA, and several great nieces and nephews.  Roy had pre-arranged to have a graveside service, which will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, at Lynn Haven Cemetery next to the graves of his parents. Pastor Ramon Duvall of Beachside Fellowship Miracle Center will be officiating.
